This traveling interactive field trip is based on the successful Go For It Road Show previously produced by the “Get Fit!” production team. Over the course of seven years, Go For It reached nearly 4 million young people in more than 140 communities with life changing health and wellness messages. Americans spend $117 billion a year on obesity-linked illnesses. ‡The “GET FIT!” Experience incorporates high-tech special effects, positive role models and a fit and healthy cast to motivate and inspire kids to adopt a healthier and more active lifestyle. It is often referred to as “edu-tainment” at its most effective! Hosted by positive role models, this 90 minute program will educated, motivate and help young people understand the importance of adopting a healthier and fit lifestyle.
These important messages will be delivered through mediums relevant to the lifestyles of today’s students: music, dancing, interactive games and team competitions, lasers, lights and most importantly, the wisdom and encouragement of positive role modes such as professional and Olympic athletes. The “Get Fit!” production team has spent the past several years perfecting this balance between education and entertainment and the testimonials from educators, parents, students and community leaders speak for themselves. The “Get Fit!” production team is the only team in the world with the experience and expertise to deliver a program of this scale with measurable and sustainable results! Get Fit’s primary audience are students in grades two through six, their teachers, parents and siblings. Prevalence of overweight is reported to be significantly higher in children and adolescents with moderate to severe asthma compared to a peer group. † |
